Debra Morgan is from Katy, Texas. She attended Stephen F. Austin State University as a Deaf Education major. She went on to graduate from San Antonio College with a degree American Sign Language Interpreting. She holds state and national certifications as a Sign Language interpreter, has over 15 years experience as a video relay, and video remote interpreter, and over 30 years experience as an freelance/community interpreter with an emphasis on medical interpreting, and interpreting in government settings.
She has also presented workshops on interpreting related topics such as professionalism and ethics. She holds ties, and works in Texas, Indiana, and Florida; currently residing in Katy, Texas.
Debra is a certified SCUBA diver. She is, also, a world traveler, and an accomplished sailor. She and her husband have lived aboard, and sailed extensively in the Caribbean aboard their Pearson 424 sailboat.
